This is a Moroccan Riad built in 3ds Max and Unreal Engine 5.3, with textures painted in Photoshop.

This project started life as the final project in a CGMA "Creating Stylized Game Assets" course taught by Asheligh Warner (@ashdoodles). I got it far enough for the needs of the class, but there was clearly much more I could do to push it further, so I spent some weeks after class finishing it up.

Everything shown is made by me, with the exception of the skies which were sourced from Poly Haven, and the fountain VFX, which were created by Andrew Nielson (@rgbxyz).

The textures here are all painted in photoshop. Substance was only used to bake out AO maps on some of the smaller/more intricate props, and to convert some hand painted height maps to normal maps.

This was the first major side project I've tackled in a while, and while it was a lot of work, I'm quite proud of the results and hope you enjoy it!
